The generations from the line of Cain, the second born of the first man and woman, was Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Methusael, and Lamech. Lamech’s second wife, Zillah, bore Tubalcain. Tubalcain taught men to make things from the ores of the ground, such as gold, silver, brass, iron, and tin (Numbers 31:22). This fact excludes the false theory about cavemen, since these were the first generations in existence and they already knew how to fashion tools and things from metals.
